Job Description: The New York Post is currently seeking a part time photo editor to join our expanding visual team! Continue a long tradition of compelling photojournalism and visual storytelling through the lens of a truly unique brand, bringing vision and creativity as we continue to grow across all platforms. This position works weekdays and will primarily work on feature stories (Monday to Friday 25 hours per week).

Job Requirements:

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum five years of experience with a multi-platform media brand both digital and print

  • Must have excellent news judgment with knowledge of entertainment, news and sports

  • Extensive experience working with photographers and picture agencies

  • Proven research skills, including newsgathering and social media tools

  • Possess a keen eye for engaging content and understand the global photo marketplace

  • Strong image editing skills: selection, optimization, cropping, silo-ing, image sizing, batch processing and color correction

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite required; familiarity with WordPress a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Pro-active, an excellent communicator and team player. Positive attitude is a must

  • Flexibility regarding shifts
