Congratulations on being a Medal Finalist or Merit Winner
in the world's best creative competition for editorial content!

In order to publish your work for SPD 58, we need the following from you:

1. Log into the SPD 58 Acclaim System by clicking the “SPD 58 Winners - Enter Here” button on www.spd.org.
This is the same system you used to enter the SPD 58 Competition. All your winning entries are listed once you log-in. 

2. For EACH WINNING ENTRY ID#, please submit hi-res sRGB JPG/GIF files at 72 dpi or MP4/Screen Recording files. Horizontal images (such as spreads) should be 2500 pixels wide (height will vary by publication size). Vertical images (such as covers or single pages) should be 2500 pixels tall (width will vary by publication size). File names should only use letters, numbers, underscores, or hyphens. Other characters may cause file corruption issues. Please refer to the below platform/category information for more specifics on what you need to submit.
*NEW FILE FORMAT (JPG/GIF/MP4): This is a different file format then SPD has requested in past competitions.
Digital Entries: If you have already provided a screen-recording for judging, you do not have to upload another one.

PLATFORM AGNOSTIC CATEGORIES
A. Brand of the Year Winners - Submit one (1) file from each brand asset (4 files total). This category accepts GIFs, JPGs, and MP4s/Screen Recordings. Please make sure any individual GIF or JPG file does not exceed 20MB.

B. Cover of the Year Winners - This category accepts GIFs, JPGs, and MP4s/Screen Recordings. Please make sure any individual GIF or JPG file does not exceed 20MB. Submit one (1) cover (1 file total per winning ID#).

PRINT CATEGORIES: For the following print categories, please submit sRGB JPG files at 72 dpi. Each individual file should not exceed 5MB.

C. Magazine of the Year Winners - Submit one (1) cover & two (2) spreads or single pages from EACH ISSUE (9 files total, 3 from each issue).

D. Entire Issue & Redesign Issue Winners - Submit one (1) cover & two (2) spreads or single pages (3 files total per winning entry ID#). For Redesign, only submit work from the “AFTER” issue. 

E. Story Winners & Section, Multiple Issue Winners - Submit two (2) spreads or single pages of each winning entry (2 files total per winning ID#). Choose the best, most representative pages from your story or section.

F. Cover, Spread/Single Page, & Section, Single Issue Winners - Submit one (1) cover, single page, or spread (1 file total per winning ID#).

DIGITAL CATEGORIES: For the following digital categories, you’ll submit sRGB JPG/GIF files at 72 dpi or MP4/Screen Recording files. Each individual GIF or JPG file should not exceed 20MB. Please refer to the bullets below for category specific file requirements.

G. Website of the Year and Digital Redesign Winners - Please submit a screen recording of the site experience (1 file total). Videos should be no longer than two (2) minutes. For Redesign, only submit work from the “AFTER” site

H. Digital Cover Winners - Please submit a GIF or MP4 file (1 file total per winning ID#).

I. Single Page Design, Web/HTML Typography, Custom Feature Design, Original Digital Illustration/Photo-Illustration, Original Digital Photography, Digital Photo-Editing, and Podcast Winners: Please submit 1-2 representative JPG files or a screen recording of the site experience (2 files max per winning ID#). If submitting a screen recording, the video should be no longer than one (1) minute. Single Page Design should only submit one (1) file per winning ID#.

J. Animated Content [Web], Information Graphics, and Social Winners: Please submit a screen recording of the site or social story/experience (1 file total per winning ID#). Video should be no longer than one (1) minute.

K. Video, Animated Content [Video], and Visual Identity & Branding Winners - If you hadn’t previously uploaded the MP4 file to the Acclaim competition system during the entry process, please upload it now.

When submitting your work, make sure to include the entry’s editorial context/layout. Example: If you’re submitting work in a Photography category, don’t just submit the photograph. Submit it as it appeared in the layout with any design/text.

Please note: Winning spreads submitted as individual, separated single pages CANNOT be accepted & will not be pieced together by SPD. Do not send PDF, Quark or InDesign files. We cannot convert your fonts and images. Work submitted this way will not appear in the SPD 58 Gallery.

3. For EACH WINNING ENTRY ID#, VERIFY and APPROVE CREDITS for all creatives that worked on the entry. Please proofread and spell-check all credit information as you want it to be published.

4. PAY YOUR GALLERY FEES and renew your membership.
A gallery fee is required for inclusion in the SPD 58 Gallery and the Annual Awards Presentation in June; member rate of $65 per entry and non-member rate of $130 per entry. Late fees apply after Friday, April 14th. Submissions that have missing payment will not be included.
