Art Director, Freelance, HP Inc.
/Job Description: The brand journalism team of HP Inc. produces a magazine, Innovation, 3-4x a year. We are looking for a freelance art director to help with our next issue, starting August 30th for 3-4 weeks. The team is small, a CD and two freelance ADs plus editors, a content producer, and a production manager. Conceptualize, commission and art direct illustrations; Layout departments and features. The position is fully remote, East coast candidates preferred.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years experience in publication design.
Extensive knowledge of illustrators and experience art directing illustrators. Equal knowledge of photographers a plus.
Strong affinity for typography and systems design.
Experience designing for tech or business publications a plus but not required.
Ideal candidate is collaborative, (no ego's please!) comfortable brainstorming with team members, nimble, fast, efficient, organized, and a strong communicator.
