John Toolan, Photo Director / Editor / Researcher / Producer
/About: I recently wrapped up a 12+ year run as the Director of Photography at Field & Stream and Outdoor Life, and a concurrent three-year stint as DOP of Popular Science. I have a broad array of experience working with artists of all stripes (portraiture, conceptual, still life, documentary, and recently CGI). Assigning, research, budget management, conceptualizing, networking and negotiations all come easily to me. I greatly enjoy collaboration and come to the table well-prepared and organized. Most of all, I enjoy this job. I've been doing it since high school and can't imagine doing anything else.
I am open to either full-time or part-time work.
