Junior Graphic Designer, Girlfriend Collective

Job Description: Girlfriend Collective is looking for a well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team and support our creative initiatives. This person should be highly creative, technically proficient, and comfortable working under strict deadlines, with a desire to create engaging digital and print content that is brand-appropriate and ultimately helps to drive product sales. This role will be responsible for owning, creating, and executing on-brand and innovative marketing assets to be used across Girlfriend Collective’s digital, print, and social channels. You should also possess a genuine curiosity regarding design and communication trends and stay abreast of competitive developments within the e-commerce/fashion/retail community. This position reports to the Creative Director.

This is a junior graphic designer position, and we want someone fresh and hungry who wants to grow within the company! Please note: a portfolio submission is a requirement for this position. What You’ll Do:

  • Design brand, marketing, and e-commerce assets for digital communication, as needed (i.e. homepage, landing pages, email, etc)

  • Design, conceptualize order, and upload PDPs to Shopify.

  • Design assets for social media channels, online advertising, and affiliate sites (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, etc)

  • Working in close partnership with CD, Growth Team, and Ecomm to ensure execution of creative and brand strategy.

  • Translate website requirements into wireframe and mockups

  • Review designs for accuracy before publishing

  • Conceptualize interactive design strategies in-line with Girlfriend Collective’s aesthetics and standards

  • Support the brand's ongoing interactive and visual design initiatives

  • Determine an appropriate design approach for projects and present recommendations, as needed

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop campaigns and marketing materials for seasonal and one-off creative projects

  • Learn from internal marketing metrics, using those insights to guide future design decisions

  • Maintain a current knowledge of design trends, strategies, platforms, tools, and best practices that are applicable to retail/fashion/e-commerce companies

Job Description: Senior Design Editors at National Geographic possess exceptional design and storytelling skills. I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
Design of front of book and editorial features for Allrecipes print magazine.
