The Digital Designer works alongside editors, photo editors, and digital/social media producers, to create inventive design solutions. Responsibilities may include:

  • Work with the Art Directors and editorial team to develop top-level visual solutions

  • Maintain brand standards across all digital properties including websites, social platforms, newsletters, and videos

  • Commission original artwork, including illustrations, infographics, icons, and animations

  • Assist in managing workflow and project management for all digital edition projects

  • Help keep and maintain the digital creative budget

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years relevant work experience in media or relevant field

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills

  • A strong portfolio of work designing across a range of platforms: digital, print, and social

  • Demonstrated experience commissioning original artwork

  • Well-versed in SEO best practices and social media trends
