Snapchat Discover Designer, The Washington Post

Job Description: The Washington Post’s Emerging News Products team has an immediate opening for a designer to work on our daily Snapchat Discover edition. This role requires a well-rounded visual journalist who has experience working in Adobe After Effects.

Job Requirements: Top applicants are skilled in motion design, typography and conceptual illustration. This visual journalist will be responsible for helping to bring to life traditional stories that have been reimagined for a Snapchat audience. Experience working in a fast-paced and live news environment is critical.

It is essential that this person be a team player who is excited about working in a highly collaborative environment. It also will help to have a spirit of adventure, as we’ll be experimenting with new approaches on emerging platforms. This position will require working a Sunday through Thursday shift.

This position is based in our Washington, D.C., newsroom and is not eligible for remote work.
