Managing Photo Producer, Apple Newsroom

Job Description: Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications. Newsroom is Apple’s source for stories about Apple, from Apple.

As Managing Photo Producer for Newsroom in Marcom, you will lead and mentor members of the Photo Producer team as they guide the development and lead the execution of best-in-class photography and fine art communication in support of telling the stories of Apple’s people, products, and values. You will partner closely with the Newsroom Managing Producer and Creative Director for Newsroom to shape our creative assets and storytelling. You will build strong networks and relationships with the leaders of the PR team and Marcom Brand Teams to plan resources and budgeting for the creative productions supporting their goals and messaging. You will also lead photo production for Newsroom through all phases from inception through final delivery, ensuring projects are produced on strategy, within budget, and to the highest levels of creative excellence. You will lead and mentor the producers reporting to you and then collaborate across the larger Newsroom creative and production team to maintain a culture of cohesive excellence. As a part of the larger Marcom Photo Team, you'll have a large network of creative producers to collaborate with and learn from, while you're doing some of the best work of your life.

Job Requirements:

  • You have at least five years of experience in a management or executive producer position at an agency, commercial production company, or in-house marketing communications or creative services department.

  • You have extensive relationships with the production community that bring an in-depth knowledge of resources, crew, and production vendors in the US and internationally.

  • You take a leadership position with the team to explore and identify new up and coming photographers & artists, production companies, casting talent, and stylists.

  • You are a strong team player who leads projects and motivates team members with indirect reporting relationships.

  • You have marketing communication expertise at both a strategic and executional level.

  • You lead concurrent projects with multiple partners and negotiate agreements where varying opinions are the norm.

  • You have prior print, commercial, and some video production and post-production experience, excellent communication skills, exceptional project and budget management skills, and a proven track record of influencing the creative output.

  • You solve problems creatively and are able to compromise without impacting the work.

  • You excel at working upstream to anticipate and plan for changes.

  • You understand the Apple voice and aesthetic and can shape creative work that meets the organization’s expectations.

  • You are comfortable traveling both domestically and internationally, sometimes with minimal notice.
