Digital Designer, Oprah Daily

Job Description: Oprah Daily is seeking a Digital Designer to support the new multiplatform lifestyle brand from Oprah Winfrey and Hearst Magazines that is making it a daily practice to live your best life. The designer will uphold a central style guide for social and site needs, as well as communicate the daily design direction on the site for larger stories. In this position, you will work in a fast-paced environment and in close partnership with story editors, photo editors, illustrators and other designers to create best-in-class visuals for interactive digital features and packages, as well as daily site needs.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Create mood boards, infographics, logos/marks, illustrations and all other design elements for digital-first features

  • Work on projects from concept to post-production, making sure we meet brand standards and timelines

  • Collaborate with editors to design visuals that tell a story and drive engagement

  • Study the marketplace, assessing where OprahDaily.com work stands against competitors’ and ensure that we are ahead of the curve

  • Create motion-driven assets, both in video and short-form

  • Drive constant improvement around quality, capabilities, and creative innovation

  • Experience with creating graphics for social media and video

  • Understands brand guidelines and continues to improve systems over time

  • 3-5 years experience
