Job Description: FORTUNE is seeking a designer to join our creative team in our lower Manhattan office. The designer will be responsible for art directing and creating layouts for the monthly magazine as well as all digital products.

Collaborate with designers, photo editors, and editors to design department pages and features for the monthly magazine
Commission original illustrations as needed
Be responsible for image processing and marking up and reviewing proofs of your pages in collaboration with the photo team
Ensure all pages are visually consistent. This includes the monthly print magazine, Apple News+ and other digital versions

Job Requirements:

Ability to take direction and work well both independently—and collaboratively
Ability to handle tight deadlines
Excellent typography and layout skills
Strong understanding of style sheets and templates
Expertise in InDesign, equally at home with Illustrator and Photoshop
Proficiency in WordPress and After Effects a plus
