Our team drives the design for AARP The Magazine (the largest circulation of any magazine in the world), the AARP Bulletin, numerous books and our Girlfriend website. Job Requirements:
The intern will assist our very busy publications design department with a variety of tasks. Duties will include and are not limited to the following:
- Print and tablet layouts
- Special projects like submitting design award entries and updating layouts for our wall
- Other duties as assigned
We are seeking a self-motivated intern who is able to communicate (verbally and written), is collaborative, and who has design experience that is relevant to publication design. Knowledge of InDesign and DPS is a plus.
Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors. AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
