Job Description: Trusted Media Brands is seeking a full-time Assistant Photo Editor to work at Reader’s Digest. Seeking a proactive creative with a positive attitude who has a passion for visuals: photography, illustration, video, and magazine publishing. This position will be shooting original photography for the print magazine and website, you need to be comfortable with studio equipment and lighting.
Other daily tasks include: digital asset management, photo shoot production, photo and illustration research and licensing, as well as invoicing and budgeting.

This position reports directly to the Visuals Director and is based in White Plains, NY. The ideal candidate would have 2-4 years’ experience either shooting original photography or at a media company and holds a degree in photography.

Job Requirements:
-Expert level of comfort within Photoshop (digital file formats, retouching, metadata, and color correction) is essential.
-Proficiency in additional programs within Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects.
-Experience shooting with studio lighting (Broncolor).
-Comfortable shooting in the studio tethered within Capture One.
-A great eye for all visuals, including photography, typography, illustration, and design.
-Ability to work quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and complete a list of daily assignments.
-Ability to work independently and be proactive.
-Highly organized, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills.
-Working within a DAM (Digital Asset Management) system handling archiving, metadata, and file naming.
-Photo research experience working within and researching on a stock imagery website.
-Not required but a plus: Basic animation and video editing.
