Art Director, Southern Living

Job Description: We are looking for the right “somebody” with a passion to create award winning work and the desire, commitment, and effort it takes to achieve it. As the art director you will help to define the overall vision of the brand. Work with some of the top photographers, prop stylists, and food stylists in the business. Collaborate with the creative director, designers, photo editors and editors to create the most intriguing, stylish, and beautiful pages possible.

Job Requirements:

  • Designing Features, departments and covers

  • Conceptualizing art and photo ideas

  • Art directing photo shoots both in-house and on-location (some travel required)

  • Mentoring junior designers

  • InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

  • Multi-tasker

  • Collaborative

  • Good communication skills
