Designer, Pace

Job Description: Pace is looking for a talented designer to join our tight-knit Dallas Team! We are looking for someone who enjoys collaboration, loves to nerd-out with typography, keeps their finger on the pulse of publication design and is extremely detail oriented.

  • Design for both print and digital projects for multiple clients

  • Assign original photography and illustration as well as conduct stock photography research

  • Think through 'the strategic why' behind the creative and articulates the solve

  • Adhere to deadlines and the production process

  • Serve as a visual contributor and ideator for all creative assets

  • Creates original content to adhere to client’s brand

  • Maintain brand consistency across all designs and stay on message to represent the client’s interests

  • Engage on a consistent basis with CMS systems and the workflow tool

  • Participate in the creative process - brainstorming and mock-ups

  • Collaborate with creative and advertising teams to create new material designs based on the messages and products the company wants to promote.

  • Interact with clients as needed

  • Accountable to more senior level staff (AD, CD)

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a design-related field, including publication design, social media, marketing or advertising

Skills:

  • Collaborative, with the ability to work with people from various disciplines

  • Strong reading skills

  • Strong written and verbal communications

  • Solid design and illustration skills

  • Ability to art direct photographers and illustrators

  • Comfortable working with grid-based layout

  • Comfortable participating in and contributing to brainstorms and ideation

  • Ability to create in the print, digital and social space

  • Ability to work both independently and with a team

  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects

  • Proficient in CMS and workflow tool

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision

  • Ability to self-manage time and meet expected deadlines within the hours allocated
