Associate Photo Editor, Digital, Fast Company
Job Description: The associate photo editors support the Director of Photography and Creative Director in executing Fast Company’s visual journalism. They work closely across editorial teams, especially with their respective section editors, to help interpret and bring stories and other Fast Company digital content to life in a timely and sophisticated manner.

Responsibilities
Conceive, research, treat and/or create compelling artwork for multiple web stories for daily verticals and monthly web packages on Fastcompany.com
Work with senior photo editor to translate stories published in the print edition to web posts on fastcompany.com (this includes researching, treating and clearing rights for new assets, and reformatting print assets)
Procure and treat assets for live Fast Company events
Pitch, research, (re)format, and schedule assets for Fast Company Instagram channel
Photograph live events and portraits for Fast Company and its brand extensions as needed
Help set and drive culture for Fast Company’s editorial operations, making sure they align with Mansueto Ventures’ values.
Requirements
Bachelors degree, with a degree in fine arts or photography-related field preferred
2-3 years’+ experience in photo editing, preferably for a fast-paced editorial outlet
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop essential; Illustrator and After Effects are a plus)
Excellent photo research skills, and knowledge of Creative Commons Licenses and CCO resources
Strong written and verbal communication skills (must be able to interface with multiple editors, and outside resources independently on time-sensitive stories)
Excellent time-management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and turn work around quickly
Ability to work independently, and to be pro-active
Must be highly creative, positive bringing a can-do enthusiasm
