Job Description: Foundry 360 is seeking a freelance Assistant Photo Editor with an exceptional eye for photography and design, talent for photo research, and strong retouching skills. The primary job of the Assistant Photo Editor is to support the photo and design team on key creative and administrative tasks. To be successful in this role, the Assistant Photo Editor must work efficiently and autonomously in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines, while balancing multiple requests from the entire creative department. The Assistant Photo Editor will also photo edit against multiple brands, covering finance, health and wellness, consumer products, auto, and more. The candidate will be required to embrace visual challenges, and be as creative as they are operationally strong. This position is based in New York City.

Job Requirements:

You will:

• Ensure brand integrity and creative excellence in every asset produced.

• Conduct extensive photo research through stock agencies and photographers.

• Do detailed photo retouching (color correction, silhouetting, background replacement, etc.).

• Prepare and optimize assets for digital and social use.

• Prepare simple animations for digital and social use.

• Assist with photo shoot production across a multitude of content categories.

• Shoot original photographs as needed (headshots, social media, still life).

• Manage photo budgets, image licensing, and usage rights.

• Work on mockups for RFP responses and proactive new business pitches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in Photography or related field

• Minimum of (1) year of experience in a related field

• Skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, Woodwing, All Microsoft Programs (specifically Excel)
